Davita Itsoukor Davita Itsuokor was named Principal of Mary H. Matula Elementary School in July 2025. Prior to coming to Matula, Mrs. Itsuokor served as Assistant Principal at Matthew Henson Middle School in Charles County and as an Assistant Principal with Howard County Public Schools for four years. Mrs. Itsuokor holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Towson University. She taught Spanish and French in Howard County Public Schools, Eastern Local School District in Beaver, Ohio, Baltimore County Public Schools, and Christina School District in Newark, Delaware. Throughout her career she has written curriculum, presented at educational conferences on the local and national levels and has served in numerous leadership positions including lead building mentor, team leader, world language department chair, world language district liaison, master teacher for the state of Maryland and has a featured video in Annenberg Learner’s Teaching Foreign Languages Pedagogical video series. Mrs. Itsuokor's love for excellent instruction is her WHY. She embraces the opportunity to support teachers, guide students, encourage parents and partner with the Matula community. |
